What 50 hazar gets you
Around 40 to 50 hazar is where phones start to feel premium: - AMOLED screens with 90Hz or 120Hz refresh rates - Chipsets such as the MediaTek Helio G99 family, Dimensity 6000 series or Snapdragon 685 - 8GB RAM and 128GB or 256GB storage - 33W to 70W fast charging - 50MP or 108MP main cameras, sometimes with OIS
These phones handle daily use, social media and popular games smoothly. Prices move with the rupee and stock, so these are phones that usually sit around this budget; check mobiles under 50,000 (Under 50k) for the current range.
The biggest upgrade between a 30 hazar and a 50 hazar phone is usually the screen. AMOLED displays show deeper blacks and richer colours, look better in sunlight and make videos and social media more enjoyable. They also allow an always-on display and save some battery with dark mode. If two phones are similar in other ways, choose the one with AMOLED.
At this budget it is also worth looking at charging speed. A phone with 33W or faster charging can go from low to well over half full in a short break, which matters more than a slightly bigger battery for many busy users. Stereo speakers, an IP rating for splash resistance and NFC are other small extras that appear on some models in this range.
Redmi Note 13 and Redmi Note 14
The Redmi Note series is one of the safest picks in this budget. The Redmi Note 13 (Redmi Note 13) has a 120Hz AMOLED screen, a Snapdragon 685 and a 108MP main camera. The Redmi Note 14 (Redmi Note 14) is the newer model, with a Helio G99-Ultra, a 120Hz AMOLED screen and a 108MP camera. Both have 5,000mAh-class batteries and fast charging. See the Redmi Note series (Redmi Note phones).
Infinix Note 40
The Infinix Note 40 (Infinix Note 40) stands out for features rarely seen at this price, including 15W magnetic wireless charging alongside 33W wired charging, a 120Hz AMOLED screen and a Helio G99 Ultimate chipset. It is a well-rounded phone for buyers who want a premium feel. Our comparison Tecno Camon 30 vs Infinix Note 40 (Tecno Camon 30 vs Infinix Note 40) shows how it compares with a camera-focused rival.
Samsung Galaxy A15
The Galaxy A15 (Samsung Galaxy A15) brings a Super AMOLED screen to Samsung's budget line, with a Helio G99, a 50MP main camera and a 5,000mAh battery. Its big advantages are Samsung's One UI software and longer update support than many rivals. The Galaxy A15 5G (Samsung Galaxy A15 5G) adds 5G with a Dimensity 6100+ chipset.
Tecno Spark 20 Pro+ and Pova 6 Pro
The Tecno Spark 20 Pro+ (Tecno Spark 20 Pro+) has a curved AMOLED screen, a Helio G99 Ultimate and a 108MP camera, giving a flagship look for less. The Tecno Pova 6 Pro (Tecno Pova 6 Pro) targets gamers and heavy users with a 6,000mAh battery, 70W charging, a Dimensity 6080 chipset and 5G. See Tecno mobiles (Tecno prices).
Honor X7b and Infinix Hot 50 Pro+
The Honor X7b (Honor X7b) is a battery-focused phone with a 6,000mAh battery, a Snapdragon 680 and a 108MP main camera. The Infinix Hot 50 Pro+ (Infinix Hot 50 Pro+) is known for its very slim design and a curved AMOLED screen, powered by a Helio G100. Both are good if you want something a little different.
