The POCO C65 is a no-nonsense budget phone. It is built for calls, WhatsApp, YouTube, Facebook and light games, with a big screen and a battery that lasts. It is a good first phone for students or a simple, large-screen phone for parents.
The 6.74-inch display is an HD+ IPS LCD with a 90Hz refresh rate. It is not as sharp as Full HD, but it is big, smooth for its class and easy to read. The MediaTek Helio G85 is an older 12 nm chip; it handles everyday apps fine and runs Free Fire and PUBG on low settings. Memory is generous for the price, with 6GB or 8GB of RAM and up to 256GB storage, plus a microSD slot.
The 50MP main camera takes good photos in daylight. The other two rear lenses (a 2MP macro and an auxiliary sensor) do little, and low-light photos are weak. The 8MP front camera is fine for video calls. The 5000mAh battery easily lasts a day or more, and charging is 18W.
Practical extras include a side fingerprint reader, a headphone jack and a USB-C port. It sits in the POCO series (POCO phones). The unit we deliver is the Non PTA international box pack. It is not registered with PTA's DIRBS, so a local SIM works only for a limited time unless you register it and pay the PTA tax; Wi-Fi works normally.
