Read full overview
The Smart 8 is a big step forward for the Infinix Smart series (Infinix Smart phones). It drops the slow Unisoc SC9863A used in the Smart 6 and Smart 7 for the Unisoc T606, a 12 nm chip with two Cortex-A75 performance cores and Mali-G57 graphics. Apps open faster, scrolling is smoother, and light games run better.
There is some confusion online because the India-only Smart 8 used a different Helio chip and camera. The international Smart 8 we stock uses the Unisoc T606 with a 13MP main camera.
The 6.6 inch HD+ IPS display now runs at 90Hz, which is rare at this price and makes daily use feel smoother. RAM options range from 3GB to 4GB with 64GB or 128GB storage, plus a microSD slot. Android 13 Go edition with XOS 13 keeps the system light.
The 13MP main camera handles daylight photos well, and the 8MP front camera is a step up from the 5MP on the Smart 7, giving clearer video calls. The fingerprint sensor is now on the side, in the power key.
The 5000mAh battery lasts a full day and more, with 10W charging over USB-C. Reverse wired charging lets you give a little power to another device in a pinch.
Our unit is the Non PTA international variant in box pack condition. Wi-Fi and all features work normally; a local SIM works only for a limited time unless the phone is registered with PTA and the tax is paid. If you need a bigger battery and 50MP camera, see the Infinix Smart 8 Plus (Infinix Smart 8 Plus), or check mobiles under 20000 (Under 20k).
