iPhone 15 Pro Max vs Pixel 9 Pro XL
Short answer: buy the Pixel 9 Pro XL if you want a brighter, slightly bigger screen, a bigger battery, faster wired charging, a 42MP selfie camera and seven years of Android updates. Buy the iPhone 15 Pro Max if you want the faster A17 Pro chip, better video recording, iOS and stronger resale value in Pakistan. Both have a 5x telephoto, 120Hz screen, IP68 and weigh the same 221 g, so the choice is mostly iOS vs Android.

Design and build
The iPhone 15 Pro Max has a titanium frame with a textured matte glass back and Ceramic Shield on the front. The Pixel 9 Pro XL has a polished aluminium frame, a matte Gorilla Glass Victus 2 back and Google's pill-shaped camera bar. Both weigh about 221 g and both are IP68 rated.
The iPhone adds the Action Button, which you can set to open the camera, torch or a shortcut. The Pixel keeps simple power and volume keys. In the hand, the Pixel feels a little wider because of its bigger screen.
Display
The Pixel 9 Pro XL has a 6.8 inch LTPO OLED (Super Actua) at 1344 x 2992 with 1–120Hz and up to 3000 nits peak. The iPhone 15 Pro Max has a 6.7 inch LTPO Super Retina XDR OLED at 1290 x 2796 with ProMotion up to 120Hz, Always-On display, Dynamic Island and about 2000 nits outdoors.
Both screens are excellent. The Pixel is brighter in direct summer sunlight, which helps outdoors in Karachi or Lahore heat. The iPhone has Dynamic Island for live activities like ride and delivery tracking.
Performance and chipset
The iPhone 15 Pro Max uses the A17 Pro on a 3 nm process. The Pixel 9 Pro XL uses Google's Tensor G4 on 4 nm. The A17 Pro is clearly faster in heavy games and long sessions of PUBG Mobile or Genshin Impact, and it holds performance better when warm.
The Tensor G4 is built for AI work: call screening, voice typing, photo editing and Gemini run smoothly. For daily apps, banking and social media both feel fast. If gaming is your priority, the iPhone is the safer pick.
Cameras
The Pixel 9 Pro XL has a 50MP main camera with OIS, a 48MP ultra-wide and a 48MP 5x telephoto with OIS. The iPhone 15 Pro Max has a 48MP main camera, a 12MP ultra-wide and a 12MP 5x tetraprism telephoto. Selfies are 42MP with autofocus on the Pixel and 12MP on the iPhone.
For photos, the Pixel's processing is excellent in low light and with people, and its higher resolution ultra-wide and zoom give more detail. For video, the iPhone leads with very stable 4K 60fps Dolby Vision, ProRes and spatial video. The Pixel records 4K 60fps and offers 8K 30fps through cloud Video Boost.
Battery and charging
The Pixel 9 Pro XL has a 5060 mAh battery with 37W wired charging (using a 45W charger), 23W wireless on the Pixel Stand 2, 12W on Qi pads and reverse wireless charging. The iPhone 15 Pro Max has a 4441 mAh battery with fast wired charging (about 50% in 30 minutes), 15W MagSafe and Qi2.
Both last a full day for most users. The Pixel charges faster on a cable, which is handy during load shedding when you have a short window of power. Neither comes with a charger in the box.

Google promises seven years of Android and security updates for the Pixel 9 Pro XL from its August 2024 launch, and Pixels get new Android versions first. Non PTA and SIM notes in Pakistan
Our iPhone 15 Pro Max units are slightly used Non PTA phones with 100% battery health and original IMEIs. A Non PTA iPhone is not registered with PTA's DIRBS, so a local SIM works only for a limited time unless you register it and pay the PTA tax. Wi-Fi and every other feature work normally. Read our iPhone battery health guide (iPhone Battery Health: How to Check It and What Is Normal).
Google does not sell the Pixel officially in Pakistan. Our Pixel 9 Pro XL is a Non Custom box pack unit and is PTA Patch Approved, so a local SIM works. It has a nano-SIM plus eSIM; US iPhone 15 Pro Max units are eSIM only.
Who should buy which
Buy the Pixel 9 Pro XL if you want a newer phone, the brightest screen, the best zoom and selfie detail, faster charging and seven years of updates.
Buy the iPhone 15 Pro Max if you shoot a lot of video, play heavy games, already use Apple devices or care most about resale value. The current price of each model is shown on its page.
