Megapixels are not the whole story
A 200MP or 108MP label looks good on a box, but image quality depends far more on sensor size, lens quality, optical image stabilisation (OIS) and processing. A 50MP sensor with OIS in a Pixel or Galaxy A55 often beats a cheaper 108MP phone, especially at night. For video, look for 4K at 60fps, good stabilisation and clear audio.
The main things to compare: - Main sensor size and OIS for low light - A real telephoto or periscope lens for zoom and portraits - Ultra-wide quality for groups and buildings - Front camera for selfies and video calls, and whether it records 4K
Best camera flagships
At the top, the Galaxy S24 Ultra (Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra) and S25 Ultra (Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra) pair a 200MP main camera with a 5x periscope. The iPhone 16 Pro Max (iPhone 16 Pro Max) records some of the best video of any phone. Google's Pixel 9 Pro XL (Google Pixel 9 Pro XL) is known for natural colours and night shots. The Xiaomi 14 Ultra (Xiaomi 14 Ultra) and Vivo X100 Pro (Vivo X100 Pro) use large 1-inch-type main sensors.
The Huawei Pura 70 Ultra (Huawei Pura 70 Ultra) has outstanding cameras too, but note that Huawei phones do not include Google Play services. Compare top models in Galaxy S24 Ultra vs iPhone 16 Pro Max (Galaxy S24 Ultra vs iPhone 16 Pro Max).
Great cameras in the middle
You do not need a flagship for good photos. The Pixel 7a (Google Pixel 7a) and Pixel 8a (Google Pixel 8a) bring Google's processing at a lower level. The Galaxy A55 (Samsung Galaxy A55 5G) has OIS and reliable colours. The Realme 12 Pro+ (Realme 12 Pro+) adds a periscope telephoto lens, and the Redmi Note 13 Pro (Redmi Note 13 Pro) uses a 200MP sensor with OIS. For selfies and portraits, the Vivo V40 (Vivo V40) and Honor 200 Pro (Honor 200 Pro) are popular choices.
Picking the right camera phone
If you shoot TikTok and Reels, prioritise front camera quality and stabilisation. If you shoot your children or pets indoors, prioritise main sensor size and OIS. If you love zoom, only a phone with a periscope lens will satisfy you. Our full guide, Best camera phones in Pakistan (Best Camera Phones in Pakistan), lists picks by budget, and you can also filter by money, starting with mobiles under 1 lakh (Under 100k).
Front cameras and video calls
For many buyers the front camera matters more than the back. TikTok, Reels, video calls with family abroad and online meetings all use it. Look for autofocus on the selfie camera, which keeps your face sharp at arm's length, and for 4K video recording on the front camera if you make content.
Vivo's V series (Vivo V Series phones) and Oppo's Reno series (OPPO Reno phones) are known for strong selfies and portrait modes. iPhones and recent Galaxy S phones record steady, high-quality front video. Phones like the Infinix Zero 40 (Infinix Zero 40 5G) bring 4K front video to a lower price.
Also check the microphones. Clear audio makes video calls and vlogs far better, and flagships usually record cleaner sound with better wind noise reduction.
Frequently Asked Questions
Is a 200MP camera better than a 50MP camera?
Not automatically. Most 200MP and 108MP phones combine pixels to produce 12MP or 50MP photos. Sensor size, OIS and processing decide quality more than the megapixel count.
Which phone is best for night photos?
Phones with large main sensors and strong processing, such as the Pixel 9 Pro XL, Galaxy S24 Ultra, iPhone 16 Pro Max and Xiaomi 14 Ultra, give the cleanest night shots on this page.
Which camera phone is best for vlogging?
Look for 4K 60fps on both cameras, good stabilisation and clear microphones. iPhones are especially strong for video, and several Vivo and Honor phones have excellent front cameras.
TikTok aur vlogging ke liye konsa mobile best hai?
Vlogging ke liye front camera, stabilisation aur 4K video sab se zaroori hain. Budget hai to iPhone ya Galaxy S Ultra best hain. Mid range mein Vivo V40 aur Pixel 8a achi video aur selfie dete hain.
