The Y38 5G is for buyers who want the longest battery life possible in an affordable 5G phone. Its 6000mAh cell (older listings say 5000mAh, which is wrong) is larger than most phones in this class, and with the efficient chip it can last two days for many users.
The Snapdragon 4 Gen 2 is a 4 nm chip with 5G support. It feels quick in everyday apps and handles casual gaming at sensible settings. With 8GB RAM and 128GB or 256GB storage plus a microSD slot, there is plenty of space for photos and apps.
The 6.68-inch display runs at up to 120Hz and gets bright, reaching around 1000 nits peak, so it is readable outdoors. The resolution is HD+, which is fine for social media but not as sharp as an FHD+ screen.
Cameras are basic: a 50MP main sensor with a 2MP depth sensor and an 8MP selfie camera. Daylight photos are good; low light is average. The IP64 rating means good dust protection and resistance to water splashes.
44W FlashCharge takes care of that big battery in a reasonable time. This phone is PTA Patch Approved, so a local SIM works. Wi-Fi and all features work normally.
