The Y36 continues where the Y35 left off, with a more modern look. Its two big camera circles and sparkling glass back in Vibrant Gold make it one of the more eye-catching phones in the Vivo Y series (Vivo Y Series phones).
The display grows to 6.64 inches with FHD+ resolution and a 90Hz refresh rate.
Performance is handled by the Snapdragon 680 with 8GB RAM, plus extended RAM in Funtouch OS 13. It is smooth for social media, video calls, banking apps and casual games. The 6 nm process keeps it cool and helps battery life.
The camera setup is a 50MP main camera and a 2MP depth sensor. Daytime photos are sharp, and night mode helps with indoor and evening shots. The 16MP front camera is better than the 8MP selfie cameras found on cheaper Y models.
The 5000mAh battery charges at 44W, and the phone carries an IP54 rating against dust and splashes, a nice extra for daily commuting. At 202 g it is a little heavier than average.
Our Non PTA unit is not registered on DIRBS, so a local SIM will work only for a limited time unless you register it and pay the PTA tax. Wi-Fi and other features work normally.
