The POCO X5 (5G) is a straightforward mid-ranger that focuses on the screen and battery. Its 6.67-inch AMOLED runs at 120Hz and is bright enough for outdoor use, which makes it a pleasure for videos, reels and reading.
The Snapdragon 695 is a proven 6 nm chip. It is not the fastest, but it is efficient, stays cool and offers 5G. Everyday apps run smoothly, and games like PUBG and Free Fire play well at medium settings. Its siblings, the POCO X5 Pro 5G (POCO X5 Pro 5G) and the Redmi Note 12 5G, cover the slightly higher and lower ends.
The camera setup is simple: a 48MP main sensor, an 8MP ultra-wide and a 2MP macro. It is good in daylight and average in low light, with no OIS. Video is 1080p. The 13MP selfie camera is enough for calls and social apps. The 5000mAh battery is a real strength, giving most users more than a day; 33W charging takes around an hour.
Useful extras include a headphone jack, an IR blaster, microSD support and IP53 splash protection. The POCO X5 is part of Xiaomi's POCO series (POCO phones). What we sell is the Non PTA box pack international variant. It is not registered with PTA's DIRBS, so a local SIM works only for a limited time unless you register it and pay the PTA tax. Wi-Fi works normally. See our 120Hz mobiles (120Hz Mobiles) for alternatives.
