The Redmi Note 12 5G looks almost identical to the 4G Redmi Note 12 (Redmi Note 12), but swaps the chip for Qualcomm's Snapdragon 4 Gen 1. That gives it 5G support and a slightly quicker feel in daily use, while keeping the same big 120Hz AMOLED screen.
The 6.67-inch panel is the highlight. It is bright, colourful and smooth, and it makes the phone feel more expensive than it is. The Snapdragon 4 Gen 1 is a 6 nm chip with two Cortex-A78 cores; it handles social media, maps, video calls and casual games well. It is still an entry-level 5G chip, so do not expect high-end gaming.
On the back is a 48MP main camera with an 8MP ultra-wide and a 2MP macro. Photos are good in daylight and average at night. The 13MP selfie camera covers calls and social media. A 5000mAh battery and 33W charging mean you rarely worry about running out. IP53, a headphone jack and an IR blaster round things off.
You can find it alongside its siblings in the Redmi Note series (Redmi Note phones). The phone we sell is the PTA Patch Approved international variant in box pack condition. This phone is PTA Patch Approved, so a local SIM works. Our 5G phones guide (Best 5G Phones in Pakistan) lists more choices.
