The Nokia G42 5G is an affordable 5G phone known for its QuickFix design, which makes the screen, battery and charging port easy to replace. The G42 5G is made for buyers who want a simple, long-lasting 5G phone rather than the flashiest specs. HMD built it with a repair-friendly QuickFix design: the back cover, battery, display and charging port can be replaced with basic tools, which helps the phone stay useful for longer. Nokia also says the battery keeps around 80% of its capacity after 800 full charges.
The 6.56-inch IPS LCD runs at 90Hz, so scrolling feels smoother than on 60Hz budget phones, but the HD+ resolution is not as sharp as Full HD panels. Inside is the Snapdragon 480+ 5G, an 8 nm chip that handles WhatsApp, YouTube, Facebook and light games well. Heavy games like PUBG run best at lower settings. Software is close to stock Android 13 with very little extra bloat.
The 50MP main camera takes good daylight photos, while the 2MP depth and macro sensors are only helpers. The 5000mAh battery easily lasts a full day, and 20W charging is fine but not fast by today's standards. You also get a 3.5mm headphone jack, a microSD slot and IP52 splash protection. Our Nokia G42 5G is the Non Custom international variant, sold new in box pack condition. This phone is PTA Patch Approved, so a local SIM works. Wi-Fi, apps and every other feature work normally.
