Read full overview
The Reno 12 Pro is OPPO's AI-focused mid-ranger from mid-2024. It suits content creators and selfie lovers who want strong portrait and front-camera quality, plus a durable, slim body.
It has a 50MP main camera with OIS, a 50MP telephoto lens with 2x optical zoom for portraits, an 8MP ultra-wide, and a 50MP autofocus selfie camera. Older listings that show an 8MP + 2MP setup are wrong. OPPO's AI tools such as AI Eraser, which removes unwanted people from photos, and AI Best Face for group shots are built into the gallery.
Performance comes from the MediaTek Dimensity 7300-Energy, a 4 nm chip tuned for efficiency. It is smooth in daily use, social apps and casual gaming, but it is not as powerful as the Dimensity 8200 in last year's Reno 11 Pro, so hardcore gamers may want to look elsewhere. The 6.7-inch curved AMOLED screen runs at 120Hz and is protected by Gorilla Glass Victus 2, and the phone carries an IP65 rating.
Battery life is excellent thanks to a 5000mAh cell and the efficient chip, with 80W SuperVOOC charging. This is a Non PTA international unit: not registered with PTA's DIRBS, so a local SIM works for a limited time unless you register it and pay the tax. Wi-Fi and all other features work as normal.
