The Galaxy A23 is one of very few budget phones with optical image stabilisation on a 50MP main camera. OIS keeps photos sharp in dim rooms and smooths out handheld video, so it is a good pick for family events and evening outings. It is a 2022 model in the Galaxy A series (Samsung Galaxy A phones).
The Snapdragon 680 is a 6 nm chip that runs cool and sips power. With up to 8GB RAM, everyday apps run smoothly. It is not a gaming powerhouse; graphics performance is modest, so PUBG Mobile runs at lower settings.
The 6.6 inch Full HD+ LCD runs at 90Hz, giving sharp text and smooth scrolling. Colours are less punchy than AMOLED but the panel is bright enough indoors.
Alongside the 50MP OIS main are a 5MP ultra-wide, a 2MP macro and a 2MP depth sensor. Low-light photos are noticeably steadier than on phones without OIS. The 8MP front camera handles video calls.
The 5000 mAh battery and efficient chip give strong endurance, and 25W fast charging is supported, quicker than the 15W on most budget Samsungs of that time. A side fingerprint sensor, dedicated microSD slot, USB-C and a 3.5 mm jack are all here.
Our units are PTA Patch Approved, box pack international variants. This phone is PTA Patch Approved, so a local SIM works. Box contents depend on the region. If you prefer an AMOLED screen, look at the Galaxy A24 (Samsung Galaxy A24); for other options see Snapdragon mobiles (Snapdragon Mobiles).
