The Tecno Phantom V Flip 2 is for buyers who want a stylish flip foldable that is genuinely useful when closed. It is the 2024 flip model in the Tecno Phantom series (Tecno Phantom phones), replacing the original Phantom V Flip.
The main 6.9-inch LTPO AMOLED screen has FHD+ resolution and an adaptive 10-120Hz refresh rate. The big change is outside: the 3.64-inch AMOLED cover display replaces the tiny round screen of the first model and can run widgets, full apps and even a keyboard, so you can reply to WhatsApp without opening the phone. The MediaTek Dimensity 8020 is a 6 nm 5G chip with a Mali-G77 MC9 GPU, paired with 8GB RAM and 256GB storage.
The rear has a 50MP main camera with a large sensor and a 50MP ultra-wide, a clear upgrade over the 64MP + 13MP setup before. The 32MP inner selfie camera is good for calls, and you can also take selfies with the main cameras using the cover screen. The 4720mAh battery is nearly 20% larger than the first V Flip's, and 70W charging reaches 50% in about 15 minutes. It runs Android 14 with HiOS 14, and there is no official water resistance rating.
