Checking a used iPhone

Our iPhone 14 and 15 series units are used Non PTA phones, so it is worth knowing what to check. Battery health is the most important number. It is listed on each model page, and you can confirm it in Settings > Battery > Battery Health. Also check Settings > General > About for parts and service history, which shows whether the screen, battery or camera has been replaced.

Test Face ID, both speakers, all cameras, the charging port and the side buttons. Make sure the phone is not signed in to someone else's Apple ID. Our guides How to check iPhone original (How to Check if an iPhone Is Original or Fake) and the iPhone battery health guide (iPhone Battery Health: How to Check It and What Is Normal) list every step to follow during the 7-day checking warranty.
