The Nova Y72 is for people who want a phone that lasts and lasts: parents, students and anyone who is away from a charger all day. It is part of the budget Y line within the Huawei Nova series (Huawei Nova phones), next to models like the Nova Y70 (Huawei Nova Y70).
The 6.75-inch HD+ LCD is large, which is good for videos, reading and older users who prefer big text. It is not Full HD, so fine text is slightly less sharp than on pricier phones. Inside is the Kirin 710A, an older 14 nm chip, with a generous 8GB RAM and up to 256GB storage. It handles calls, WhatsApp, YouTube, Facebook and light games, but it is not meant for heavy gaming.
The 50MP main camera takes decent photos in good light, and a 2MP macro lens is there for close-ups. The 8MP front camera is enough for video calls. The highlight is the 6000mAh battery, which can stretch to two days of light use, and 22.5W charging is reasonable for this size.
The Nova Y72 runs EMUI 14 without Google Play Services. Apps come from Huawei AppGallery, and some Google apps need alternatives, so check your important apps first. Our unit is the PTA Patch Approved international variant in its original box. This phone is PTA Patch Approved, so a local SIM works.
