The Sparx Neo 8 is made for buyers who want a large screen and lots of storage on a tight budget. It suits students, older parents and anyone who needs a dependable second phone for calls, WhatsApp and light browsing. More models are on the Sparx mobiles (Sparx prices) page.
The 6.56-inch IPS LCD has an HD+ (720 x 1600) resolution. It is fine for chatting, YouTube and reading, though text is not as sharp as on Full HD screens. Inside is the MediaTek Helio G25, an octa-core chip clocked at 2.0 GHz with PowerVR GE8322 graphics. It handles everyday apps well but is not meant for heavy games; PUBG Mobile and Free Fire run only on low settings.
You get 4GB of physical RAM and 128GB of storage, which is plenty of room for photos, videos and WhatsApp media. The 13MP main camera takes decent daylight photos, and the 8MP front camera is good enough for video calls. The 5000mAh battery easily gets a light user through a full day, and often more.
Our unit is a PTA Patch Approved box pack phone. This phone is PTA Patch Approved, so a local SIM works. Wi-Fi and all other features work normally.
