The ROG Phone 9 is for serious mobile gamers who play PUBG Mobile, Call of Duty, Genshin Impact and other demanding titles for hours. It is the 2024 model of the Asus ROG Phone series (ROG Phone phones) and follows the ROG Phone 8 (Asus ROG Phone 8).

The 6.78-inch LTPO AMOLED runs at up to 185Hz in supported games, with 2500 nits peak brightness and Gorilla Glass Victus 2. Ultrasonic AirTriggers on the frame work like console shoulder buttons. The Snapdragon 8 Elite (3 nm) with up to 16GB RAM and UFS 4.0 storage is one of the fastest chips available, and Asus's cooling keeps performance steady during long sessions. A side USB-C port lets you charge while playing in landscape.

The camera setup is better than older gaming phones: a 50MP main sensor with six-axis gimbal stabilisation, a 13MP ultra-wide and a 5MP macro, with video up to 8K 30fps. The 32MP front camera is good for streaming. The 5800mAh battery lasts a long gaming day, with 65W wired and 15W wireless charging. Front stereo speakers and a 3.5 mm headphone jack make it great for music and low-latency wired audio. The back has the AniMe Vision mini-LED panel for custom animations.

Our unit is the PTA Patch Approved international variant, box packed. This phone is PTA Patch Approved, so a local SIM works. See our best gaming phones guide (Best Gaming Phones in Pakistan) or browse more gaming phones (Gaming Phones).
