Size and weight
The iPhone 17 Pro has a 6.3 inch screen and weighs about 204 g. The iPhone 17 Pro Max has a 6.9 inch screen and weighs about 231 g. Both are about 8.75 mm thick, use an aluminium unibody with Ceramic Shield 2 and are IP68 rated. Both come in Cosmic Orange, Deep Blue and Silver.
Display
Both have a Super Retina XDR OLED with ProMotion up to 120Hz, Always-On and up to 3000 nits outdoors. The quality is the same; only the size changes. The Pro Max is better for videos, reading and games, while the Pro is easier to carry and type on with one hand.
Performance
Both use the A19 Pro chip with 12GB RAM and vapour chamber cooling, so speed is the same. The bigger Pro Max can stay cool a little longer in very long gaming sessions because it has more room to spread heat.
Cameras
The cameras are identical: 48MP main, 48MP ultra-wide and 48MP 4x telephoto with an 8x optical-quality crop, plus the 18MP Center Stage front camera. Both record 4K 120fps Dolby Vision video and ProRes RAW. You will not see a difference in photos.
Battery and charging
This is the main reason to choose the Pro Max. Apple rates it at up to 39 hours of video playback (eSIM models), against up to 33 hours for the 17 Pro (eSIM models). Versions with a physical SIM tray run about two hours shorter. Both charge to about 50% in 20 minutes with a 40W or stronger adapter, and support 25W MagSafe.

Non PTA and PTA in Pakistan
All our iPhones are genuine Non Custom / Non PTA (Box Pack) units: new, sealed and factory unlocked. On a Non PTA iPhone a local SIM works for a limited time under DIRBS rules; after that you register the phone and pay the PTA tax, or keep using it on Wi-Fi. iCloud, Apple ID, the App Store and iOS updates work normally. The tax depends on the phone's value and differs for CNIC and passport, so read our PTA tax guide (PTA Tax on Mobile Phones: How It Is Calculated and Paid) first.
Orders need a 30% advance, the remaining 70% is paid to the courier, delivery takes 48–72 hours, and each phone has a 7-day checking warranty.

iPhone Pro vs Pro Max: the difference in every generation
The main difference between iPhone Pro and Pro Max has stayed the same for years: size and battery. Both use the same chip, and in most generations the same cameras. The Pro Max has a bigger screen, a bigger battery and longer battery life, and it weighs more. The exceptions were the iPhone 12 Pro Max, with a larger main sensor, and the iPhone 15 Pro Max, which alone got the 5x tetraprism zoom that year. So pick the Pro if you want a phone that is easy to use with one hand, and the Pro Max if battery life and a large screen matter most.
