Read full overview
The Infinix Smart 8 Pro is a low-cost phone for students and first-time smartphone users who want more storage and a better camera than the cheapest models. It is part of the Infinix Smart series (Infinix Smart phones) and adds a 50MP camera and 90Hz screen over the regular Smart 8.
The 6.6-inch HD+ IPS display runs at 90Hz, so scrolling feels a bit smoother than on 60Hz phones. The MediaTek Helio G36 is an entry-level octa-core chip. With 4GB RAM and Android 13 Go edition it handles WhatsApp, YouTube, TikTok and online classes, but heavy games will run on low settings only. You get 128GB of storage plus a microSD slot.
The 50MP main camera takes decent photos in daylight and records 1080p video. Low-light shots are average, which is normal at this level. The 8MP front camera is fine for calls. The 5000mAh battery easily covers a day of normal use, but 10W charging takes a long time to fill it. A side fingerprint sensor, face unlock and a 3.5mm headphone jack are included.
The phone we sell is the PTA Patch Approved international variant, box packed. This phone is PTA Patch Approved, so a local SIM works. See mobiles for students (Mobiles for Students) or browse all Infinix mobiles (Infinix prices).
