The HMD Skyline is for buyers who want a capable, clean Android phone with a bit of personality. Its squared-off design is a nod to the classic Nokia Lumia 920, and HMD built it to be repaired at home, with official guides for replacing the battery and screen. It also has a Custom Button that can be set to launch apps or actions.
The 6.55-inch pOLED display has an FHD+ resolution, a fast 144Hz refresh rate and up to 1000 nits peak brightness, protected by Gorilla Glass 3. The Snapdragon 7s Gen 2 (4 nm) is a solid mid-range chip that handles daily apps smoothly and runs PUBG Mobile and Call of Duty at balanced settings. Storage can be expanded with a microSD card up to 512GB, which is rare in this class.
The camera setup is strong on paper: a 108MP main sensor with OIS, a 13MP ultra-wide and a 50MP 2x telephoto for portraits, plus a 50MP front camera with autofocus for sharp selfies. Video goes up to 4K. The 4600mAh battery is smaller than many rivals, but it supports 33W wired charging, 15W magnetic Qi2 wireless charging and 5W reverse wireless charging. There is no headphone jack and only IP54 splash protection. Our HMD Skyline is a Non Custom box pack unit of the international variant. This phone is PTA Patch Approved, so a local SIM works. Wi-Fi, apps and every other feature work normally. Read more in our guide on what a PTA Patch Approved mobile is (How to Check PTA Status of Any Mobile Phone).
